제품설명

Tet System Approved FBS는 세포 배양을 위한 고품질의 FBS로써, Tet cell line을 이용하여 Tetracycline 유도 발현 조절을 직접 확인 및 검증하는 “Functional Test*”를 거쳐 생산된 제품이다. Tetracycline-controlled 유전자 발현시스템의 유일한 독점 업체인 Takara Bio USA (구, Clontech) 는 Tetracycline-inducible 시스템에서 최적의 유도발현을 보증하는 FBS를 제공하도록 유일하게 인증받았다.
타사의 상업용 Cell-culture FBS 제품에는 Tetracycline inducible 시스템에 영향을 줄 수 있는 tetracycline-derived contaminants가 포함되어있을 가능성이 있어 이를 아주 민감한 Tet-On, Tet-Off 유도발현 시스템에 적용하였을 경우, 실험의 background를 생성할 수 있으며, 심지어 “antibiotic-free” FBS 조차도 유전자 발현 조절에 부정적인 영향을 미칠 우려가 있다.
하지만, 당사의 Tet System Approved FBS는 Tet-On, Tet-Off 유도발현 시스템에서 직접 실험을 거쳐 판매하는 제품이기 때문에 해당 실험에 있어 부정적인 영향을 극한으로 감소시킬 수 있다.

* Functional Test : 본 기능성 테스트는 Tetracycline-inducible expression system에 직접 적용하여 FBS에 의한 Background를 엄격하게 테스트하는 아주 민감한 테스트 방법으로, Fetal 또는 Calf Serum에서 Tetracylince의 존재 여부를 확인하는 하는 테스트방법과 동일하지 않습니다.

Only Takara Bio USA functionally tests FBS to be sure that no contaminating tetracycline derivatives interfere with induced expression levels.
